uMngeni-uThukela Water offers a thirty six (36) months training programmes under the below mentioned fields. Applicants who are residing in KwaZulu-Natal province and who are living with disability are invited to apply so as to gain practical work experience. These opportunities will available in Richards Bay and Pietermaritzburg.

UUW LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME 2025-2026
uMngeni-uThukela Water Training and Development Department with the support of the Operations Division offers a one year Water &Waste Water Treatment Learnership for twenty candidates who have successfully completed their Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematicsand Science and who are interested in developing the skills required to work in the Water industry.The responsibilities will amongst others, include intense theoretical and practical training, attending classes, completing a Portfolio of Evidence (POE) and conducting practical work at the water treatment plants in the North East Region, located in Richards Bay and Jozini Water Treatment Plant.
